I have a background as Service Manager for the Appointee and Support Team in a charity for the preceding 14 years to setting up Appoint Us Services. Prior to that I worked for The Department for Work and Pensions for 17 years performing various roles from Claims Processing to Visiting Officer. I was also a Foster Carer for over ten years, supporting children with challenging behaviour and working with them,  their families and Childrens services

I was party to forming Appoint Us Services (Mildands) CIC as I wanted to deliver a service that kept people at the centre of the service and delivered services that people needed and could access easily but also gave back to the communities in which we work.

My specialism is Child Protection Advocacy – supporting parents who find themselves in the Child Protection arena
